About 60 miles North East of Fairbanks is Chena Hot Springs. Today we went there and enjoyed hot and cold. They have the ‘Aurora House’ which is maintained at 25F all year round. You can spend a night for $600 which includes massive layers of fur on the ice beds. We had an ‘Appletini’ in an ice glass. That was good so we had another. Then I told the bartender about the old Michigan custom that the third was on the house and that one was good too. Then we managed to get into swim suites and soak in the hot springs waters at a beautiful grotto of massive boulders. So a few pictures below if RV park wifi can stand it. Tomorrow we go on the river boat Discovery and we have done that before in 2001. I wonder how much change we will see.
Great pictures! Looks like you two are having a wonderful time. (But that bear looks a tad ominous. Please remain armed!)
Looking forward to chatting with you soon.
Cheers,
Craig
